GOLFWEEK MAGAZINE INCLUDES RAINDANCE NATIONAL ON 2 OF ITS TOP 200 LISTS

The accolades keep piling up for RainDance National Resort & Golf.

The 18-hole semi-private golf course in Windsor, CO was recently named in two of Golfweek Magazine’s 200 Best Courses of 2024 lists.

RainDance National, owned and operated by The Water Valley Company and the sister course of the 27-hole Pelican Lakes Resort & Golf, was mentioned in Golfweek’s ranking of the top residential courses in the United States as well as the nation’s top resort courses.

Of the 200 courses named in each list, RainDance National was selected as the 191st-best Residential Course in the U.S. and tied for 134th on the Top Resort Courses. (RainDance National tied Red Sky Norman Course in Wolcott for 134th.)

Nine other Colorado courses were mentioned on the Residential Course list with RainDance National joining the likes of Colorado Golf Club (No. 4), Castle Pines (No. 13), Glacier Club Mountain Course (No. 80), Redlands Mesa (No. 83), Frost Creek (No. 86), Flying Horse North Course (No. 109), Ravenna (No. 132 tie), Aspen Glen (No. 132 tie) and Cherry Creek Country Club (No. 169.).

The Colorado facilities selected alongside RainDance National on the Top Resort Courses list are Red Sky Fazio Course (No. 69), The Broadmoor East Course (No. 78), Red Sky Norman Course (No. 134 tie) and The Broadmoor West Course (No. 169). That means RainDance National was one of three facilities in Colorado named to the list.

“The only Colorado course awarded a spot on Golfweek’s ‘best of’ lists for top residential courses in the U.S., and the nation’s top resort courses is one that opened 18 months ago,” said RainDance National Head Golf Professional Ed Provow. “That’s simply amazing!

“We are the premier golfing destination in Northern Colorado that delivers an experience like no other course in the area. The staff and I are honored to have earned ranking on both lists.”

RainDance National opened July 12, 2022, to critical acclaim. This most recent distinction adds to an already impressive list of accolades including Kingdom Magazine’s Top 10 New Courses in 2022, Sports Illustrated’s Silver Medal for Best Public Course of 2022, third-best golf course in Colorado in 2002 by NBC GolfPass, Golf Digest’s Runner Up Best New Public Course in 2023 and Golf Inc. Magazine’s Second Place for Development of the Year.

The architect of RainDance National is veteran golf course architect Harrison Minchew, with PGA Tour Champion Fred Funk providing input as a design consultant.
